Merry Christmas

Christmas 2009

This year was so fun! We spent Christmas with Matt's Family. We drove down Christmas Eve. We had such a good time. Maya & Daisy loved all of there presents.

Lake Powell..... (very late post)

We went down to Lake Powell the end of July. We had so much fun! We brought the boat and the sea doo's. Did I mention how much fun we had???It was definitely one of the favorite trips of the year! We stayed in the hotel right on the water, we found giant sand hills and explored through small channels. Oh how could I forget, the yummy ice cream at the Marina. Hopefully we can go again this next Summer!

Maya had so much fun! She loves her Grandpa Joe so much! Thank you Izzy for the pictures

Daisy hated wearing her life jacket. But once she was asleep she didn't seem to mind.

family memories

I actually have a pretty bad memory, so I thought I would document just a few things that I could remember!

Calling Ramen "soupy Doupy"

Wrapping presents with the "funnies"

My nick name was "skinny minnie"

Picking out a box of cold cereal for our birthday each year.

Every Monday morning we had hot chocolate & toast for breakfast.

Me, Jessie & Rachel opened up our Christmas Presents from Aunt Diane and played with the trolls every time mom left!!!

Eating jam sandwiches and looking for arrow heads at Mardel's house.

Our house was surrounded by awesome fields, oh, and The jumps

Playing church... we would use the vacuum and lower it and use it as a microphone. Then we would set all our dolls on the couch and one would give the talk and we would whisper in there ears.

Yard work on Saturdays. We had the best garden and fruit trees.

Hand me downs...

Rachel charging me .50 to borrow her sick MC hammer pants! Angie and Loni borrowed them free of charge! LAME!!

Renting a VCR

All of us Laying in Rachel or was it Sara's bed and tickle scratching each other's back..... Switch....

Eating our grapefruit for breakfast every Christmas.

Aunt Chris would send us Jerky, Grandma would send us $10 and Uncle Brent used to send us stuffed animals. For Christmas

Dad would have us do fire drills and we would meet by the mailbox.

Repelling

Red Cliffs

Summer came to live with us and we tied her to a tree, oh I guess it was the mailbox... either way, apparently we were not very nice to her!

Long drives to California, with both coolers filled with food. (we never stopped to eat)

When I used the bathroom and was left at a gas station or was it McDonald's. We were somewhere in California! Good thing I ran fast when I saw the big blue van driving away!!

Staying in a camper outside grandma and grandpa Jones' house and the big tree in there back yard.

Singing "when I first came to this land" While Grandpa played the guitar.

Doing Uncle Rob & Uncle Terry's hair.

When Grandma Bergloff, uncle John, and Uncle Marvin, and Maybe even Ron all lived in the same culdisac. Ha, wouldn't that be funny, to see that again. Remember how fun things were before everyone decided to have issues.

I remember watering grandma's plants, running around her back yard. She had the best swing. We always watched the gods must be crazy.

Our old clothes line in the back yard.

Mark got stuck in the laundry basket.

Kate's farewell, all the floor space was taken. There was so many people there!!! So much fun.

Taking our 72 hour kits up the t- loop.

Make over's and fashion shows with Sara.

Visiting Sara and Kate in Provo.

Me and Jess Watching Jerry McGuire at Casey's house. ha ha!

Kate bribing us to do her chores with old expired ZCMI Candy. The file box that had all the chores and who could do them.

Cleaning out Marks poopy CLOTH diapers in the toilet. SICK! then ringing them out and putting them on the washer! Seriously, how did we all survive!! Did I ever really wash my hands after!!! EWWW!!!

The blue counter top in the bathroom upstairs.

We would always be to church 15 min early and sit on the same row every week. and as we left dad would give us a hug.

Wearing underwear over our tights! (Were they to small) ??

Alright , that's all for now!

Few more...

Bleufers..... (girl farts)

Playing kick ball in the front yard and we would use a stuffed animal as the ball!

Pogs

Rice cereal (we would use the left over rice from the night before add some milk and sugar and maybe some cinnamon.

Dad used to make the best dutch oven potatoes (lots of cheese) Yum!

Pudding cups (mom had the cutest little sundae dishes that she would make pudding in)

Making scrambled eggs in the microwave. (Sara would blow the egg yolk out or something like that)

almost every Sunday mom would make this jello salad with pineapple chunks and then put marshmallows on top.... you remember that one... it was good!

I remember loving to do my mom's hair

Pets.... remember the ducks that ran wild in the back yard, all the cute bunnies, Guinea pigs, Sadie, misty, Indiana and gizmo.... in no order.

The Jelly spoon

The old pull down microwave

Lice

Michele pinched marks lips at the pulpit in church because he started sing to early at Kate's farewell.

Mom would put our hair in curlers Saturday night. Sunday morning she would take them out and we would put our heads down and she would brush our hair, then we would fling our heads back, so it was nice and fluffy...

The old Harmons... oh, and wasn't it walmart connected to the mall?? Weird!

Staying in Provo with Kate and watching Clueless 14 times a day while she worked!!! Those were the days...

Sitting in the sinks in the basement bathroom and dad would always get mad if he caught us.

Cockroaches... need I say more! Gross!

Renting movies at the Harris's? Was that there last name?

Me and Jess were in the Panorama talent show, we sang "when I first came to this land"

Going to early morning Viola lessons before school.

Remember doing the spook alley with the Bundy's?

Nancy Cowley got us in to some JCPenny Fashion show. I walked down with Jason Cowley and did a little ring a round the rosie move and walked back!

Remember I used to have huge Boobs!! I am pretty sure it was the oatmeal creme pies I ate after each class and the Twix I bought everyday after lunch!!! Good ol junior high!

My first day of school at the HS and my cute white capri's turned red before I could make it to the seminary building! Thank you Jessie for saving me!!!

Driving with Aunt Julie in her cute red miata. She went into Starbucks to get a coffee and bought me a hot chocolate, it didn't taste like my typical nes-quick hot chocolate so I totally thought she secretly put some coffee in it!!! ha ha!!

Maya's new thing....and an update...

Yes, that's right. She is doing Daisy's hair. Well what little hair she has. Maya is becoming such a big girl. Little miss independent. Everyday we learn new things about her. Sometimes she literally drives me nuts. But then I realize she is a typical 3 year old. With some added attitude and sass! But underneath it all she is still my little sweetie who I love to play and be with. She is a very creative little gal. And When I get her a drink and she tells me "Thank You Mom". It totally melts my heart and reminds me why I love her so much!

Daisy is my little bundle of Joy! She smiles at me and I can't help but smile back! It's amazing how much an 11 month old can show love. She is my good little eater. She loves not having to eat baby food anymore. Her favorite food is Matt's Mac and Cheese, or Grill cheese sandwich's. She loves silky blankets, taking baths and discovering new places she can crawl. (she got stuck under our couch last week) She loves her mom and dad the most! Oh wait did I mention Brutis... Oh how she loves brutis. He can make her laugh way harder then I could ever get her too. She loves to share her food with him and play and climb on him. I don't always love brutis but he is the best dog I know for little kids!
